Takis Karababas
Takis Karababas (b. 1994) is a Greek visual artist whose practice centers on painting and drawing, exploring abstraction as a space where gesture, memory, and bodily experience converge. Through an embodied process of mark-making, he creates atmospheric compositions in which charcoal and pigment become vehicles for emotional and psychological intensity. His works evoke shifting landscapes of organic and corporeal forms, suspended between appearance and dissolution, inviting contemplation on transformation, fragility, and renewal. Rooted in a tactile and intuitive approach, Karababas’ practice unfolds as a process of revealing inner states through material presence.
Takis Karababas (b. 1994, Athens) is a visual artist working primarily in painting and drawing. He holds an Integrated Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2018) and an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London (2023). In 2026, he presents 'Night Garden', his first solo exhibition, at Elias Tsiofas Gallery, Thessaloniki.
